Navy in tree planting campaign

The Navy joined hands with the Sri Lanka Shipping Company Limited to conduct a tree planting initiative at the Galle Face Green yesterday. Approximately 50 Barringtonia Asiatica (Mudilla) saplings found their new home at the heart of the Galle Face Green, enriching the coastal ecosystem and safeguarding its diverse biodiversity.

Among the participants of this initiative were the former Commander of the Navy Admiral Piyal De Silva (Retd.), along with naval personnel from SLNS Parakrama, and a group of officials from the Sri Lanka Shipping Company Limited, all united in this commendable endeavour.
