Sri Lankan cricket team Selectors are reported to have lost control of picking the 15 players for the world Cup that includes officially naming who will lead the team or whether the old guard will continue amid calls for change in leadership.

Head selector Pramodya Wickremasinghe is no different from his bosses at Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) and evades the media as much as he can.

For its part SLC sent out a Media release stating all the think-tanks attended a meeting and agreed Sri Lanka has to move forward.

There has been speculation that the four selectors have been split into two parts and Dasun Shanaka who is facing calls to step down has been busy working on ways best known to him to remain in the post

The Sri Lankan players waiting to go for the world Cup are Dasun Shanaka, Kusal Janith Perera, Dimuth Karunaratne, Pathum Nissanka, Kusal Mendis, Sadeera Samarawickrema, Charith Asalanka, Dhananjaya de Silva, Wanindu Hasaranga de Silva, Dunith Wellalage, Matheesha de Silva, Dushan Hemantha, Matheesha Pathirana, Kasun Rajitha, Lahiru Kumara, Pramod Madushan
