President Ranil Wickremesinghe will leave for Germany tomorrow (26) to participate in the Berlin Global Dialogue. The President returned to the country yesterday (24) after attending the G77 Summit held in Cuba and the United Nations General Assembly.
The Berlin Global Dialogue is a high-level global initiative to address today’s geopolitical and economic challenges.
The President is scheduled to make his remarks at the start of the Leaders’ Dialogue session on the first day of the ‘Berlin Global’ talks.
During this trip, the President has planned to meet with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and other political and business leaders and hold discussions.
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, European Council President Charles Michael and Belgian Prime Minister Alexander de Croo will participate in this dialogue.
President Wickremesinghe is scheduled to meet the IMF delegation in Sri Lanka next week to discuss the second tranche of the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) to Sri Lanka.
