Sinopec Energy Lanka (Pvt) Ltd will transform fuel stations to international standards and will introduce novel features which would be the region’s first.
General Manager, Sinopec Energy Lanka (Pvt) Ltd, Haini Wang said that for the first time in South Asia, Sinopec fuel stations will offer financial services and travel consultancy.
“We are dedicated to transforming every Sinopec station into an innovative business cooperation platform. This will provide our dealer partners with diverse, accessible, and practical cooperation opportunities. Based on local conditions these would include providing Car wash services, Auto repair and maintenance, Mini-marts all under one roof.
“Sinopec encourages our dealer partners to explore business partnership opportunities together with us, enriching on-site diversified services and facilities to make every station a wonderful station for our daily life.
“Since the day we forged our agreement with the Ministry of Power and Energy of Sri Lanka, Sinopec has made a solemn commitment to Sri Lankans to provide a stable, sustainable, and high-quality oil supply.”
“Over the past month, we have initiated the supply to our franchise filling stations, doing so in batches. We anticipate completing this task and achieving full supply to each of our franchise filling stations by October,” she said.
Sinopec’s vision for this country extends beyond stable and consistent petroleum products supply.
“We aspire to be true partners with our dealers, working side by side to offer customers a richer and more diversified experience. Currently we are committed to advancing our Sinopec brand signage, renovation project, ensuring consumers can immediately identify Sinopec’s franchised stations. Starting from the fourth quarter, we will progressively carry out station renovation and construction work with the support of the dealers making full use of local resources to enhance the infrastructure of those filling stations,” Wang said.
“We will also launch a “Growth with Dealers” program and the world renowned Sinopec’s management system and service concepts to improve the on-site operational efficiency and overall operation capacity. We will intensify the training of our dealers’ workforce to enhance their professionalism, thus empowering them in their personal and professional growth together with Sinopec.
We are concerned about the people’s energy needs in their daily lives and we are more concerned about giving back to the community,” she said.
Minister of Power and Energy Kanchana Wijesekera said that Sinopec will be given 150 stations and if the need arises this can be increased.
Chinese Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Qi Zhenhong was also present.
