A kite festival for children with special needs was organised by the Synergy of Heart and Soul Organisation. It was held on September 15 from 10.30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Galle Face Green. Many children from all over the island participated in the event. The sky above the green was filled with brightly coloured kites of varied shapes and sizes made by these differently-abled children.
