As students, we have many dreams and ambitions during our lives. Scientifically, they are categorised into two types as long-term objectives and short-term objectives.
Getting better marks is a short-term one and having a good professional life in the future is a long-term one. We should not focus only on our future ambitions.
Instead of that we have to fulfill our short-term objectives step by step and gradually we have to realise our favourite dreams and ambitions. Because success is achieved in a curved path and not in a straight path.
My future ambition is to be an endocrinologist in Sri Lanka. This is a type of doctor who is not very common in Sri Lanka. An Endocrinologist is a doctor who specialises in diabetes.
There are many diabetes patients. But due to emigration of specialists and very experienced doctors in our country, there are only a few options available for patients. So, we have to rebuild the country by creating useful and productive future generations. For this, we need to have a good society.
We will foster peace and harmony among Sri Lankans while also focusing on sustainable development. That will make the present generation’s lives better in the future.
