Chinese delegation gets taste of Ceylon Tea

Gu Gang, Vice Governor of the Hainan Province and a Chinese delegation recently visited the Athukorale Tea Factory in Pitigala to get a firsthand experience of the Sri Lankan tea industry.

Following a warm welcome by Anura Athukorale, Chairman of the Athukorale Group of Companies, Vice Governor Gang toured the Kurunduwatta tea estate and the tea factory, where he gained an understanding of the tea making process. He then visited the tea shop, which had a variety of tea packs produced in the Southern region by the Athukorale companies as well as tea packs from the rest of the country.
