Senuja Vehan, the skipper of Mahinda College’s U-13 team is showing promise as an emerging young cricketer with all-round talents.
In his first game as captain Senuja claimed six wickets for 20 runs against Devapathiraja College Ratgama and followed it up by scoring 25 runs that enabled his side to win by 59 runs in their under-13 division one cricket encounter.
In two previous matches Vehan took six wickets for 21 runs against St. Servatius College and followed it up taking 5 for 26 against Dharmasoka College.
