Fuel prices up

The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation revised their fuel prices with effect from midnight yesterday. Accordingly, the price of 92 Octane Petrol has been increased by Rs 4 to Rs 365 while a litre of Octane 95 has been increased by Rs 3. The new price is Rs 420.

A litre of Auto Diesel has been increased by Rs 10 and the new price is Rs 351.

The CPC said that the price of a litre of Super Diesel has also been increased by Rs 62 to Rs 421. The price of a litre of Kerosene has also been increased by Rs 11 and the new price is Rs 242.

Meanwhile, Sinopec also announced a revision of their fuel prices effective from 6 pm yesterday. Accordingly, the price of 92 Octane Petrol remains unchanged at Rs.358 per litre. The price of 95 Octane Petrol has been increased by Rs.6 and the new price will be Rs.420.

The price of Auto Diesel has been increased by Rs. 10 and the new price will be Rs.348. Super Diesel has been increased by Rs.61 to Rs.417. Lanka Indian Oil Corporation sources said that their prices will also be revised in line with the increase.
