Abans has embarked on a series of initiatives to mark World Children’s Day, aligning its efforts with worthy causes that aim to improve the lives of children in Sri Lanka. With a deep commitment to nurturing the future generation of the country, Abans has chosen to support and celebrate this special day through various endeavors that reflect their dedication to corporate social responsibility.

As part of their corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative, Abans partnered with Miniso, an international retail brand, to celebrate World Children’s Day with the students of Vidyathilaka Vidyalaya.

The day was filled with joy and excitement as children enjoyed activities such as face painting, magic balloons, a magic show, bouncy castle and fun games.

The winners were generously gifted by Miniso, making the day even more memorable. The children of Vidyathilaka Vidyalaya were treated to a fun-filled experience, complete with dancing, singing, games, and a treasure trove of gifts.

In addition to the festivities, Miniso and Abans jointly donated a laptop to Vidyathilaka Vidyalaya, recognising the importance of education in shaping Sri Lanka’s future. This act of kindness will undoubtedly aid the students in expanding their knowledge and skills, offering them a brighter path forward.

Miniso, as an international retail brand known for its stylish and trendy accessories, has made a significant impact on the lives of children in Sri Lanka. With a range of products including backpacks, stationery, school supplies, and toys, Miniso has become a beloved shopping destination for kids. Their motto, “Life is for fun,” perfectly encapsulates the spirit of celebrating World Children’s Day.

Abans also took a heartwarming initiative named the “Abans Unusum Hithawathkam Project” as part of their World Children’s Day celebration. This project, initiated at Moratuwa Special Education School and Home for Girls, Wijewardhana Balika Child Development Center, Sarvodaya Suwasetha Nutrition Centre, and Madiwela Special Education School and Home for Boys, aims to bring warmth and comfort into the lives of children. As part of the inaugural phase, Abans donated water heaters to these children’s homes, ensuring that the children have access to essential amenities and comfort during various seasons and other essential items were also donated including fans.

The ‘Unusum Hithawathkam’ Project has multiple objectives, including enhancing comfort by providing water heaters, Abans aims to improve the living conditions of children in need, offering warmth and comfort when it’s needed the most.
