Anuradhapura Central College was declared champions and Thambuttegama Central College finished as the runner-up at the CBL Samaposha North Central Province Dinana Daruwo programme that promotes the talents of school children in sports, education, nutrition, and creativity.
The event was held at the Public Ground in Anuradhapura from September 5 to 8 as part of the CBL Samaposha 2023 Provincial School Games spread across five provinces.
North Western, Eastern, Southern and Uva provinces also had their Games that the organisers hope will unearth new talent for the future of Sri Lanka sports.
As many as 650 schools were given the opportunity to field their schoolboys and schoolgirls at these Games contesting some 70 disciplines.
