In a celebration of talent and ambition, the Accounting and Financial Management Association (AFMA), the student body of the Department of Accounting, Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura hosted Chaturmana (Four Dimensions), the inter-university talent competition on October 12 at the NYSC Maharagama, with the aim of unearthing the hidden potential of Sri Lankan undergraduates.

This was the third edition of Chaturmana, which was previously held in 2018 and 2019, uncovering the untapped talents of undergraduates from all 16 state universities across Sri Lanka.

The journey to unearth hidden gems in the university system began on August 26, 2023, with 800 undergraduates participating in the preliminary round. From this pool of exceptional talent, forty-five standouts emerged as semi-finalists, showcasing their skills in a spectacular event on September 9, 2023. As the dust settled, the competition intensified, leading to the selection of the final nine contenders who vied for the championship.

The chief guest was ANCL Chairman Prof. Harendra Kariyawasam. University academics and senior officials from LB Finance, the main sponsor of the event, were present.
