Assetline Finance Limited, a finance company licensed by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka, recently conducted its ‘DeshayataJawayak’ workshop on financial literacy and management for small and medium-scale entrepreneurs for developing SMEs to a sustainable future in the Kurunegala District.

The Kurunegala programme which was conducted by Chaminda Kumarasiri, a chartered accountant, saw the participation of over 100 entrepreneurs of which more than 50% were females. This was extremely encouraging as Assetline is committed to promoting female entrepreneurship and their ‘LiyaDiriya’ product, focuses on the empowerment of women. The session was extremely interactive with some of the more experienced businessmen sharing their success stories and inspiring other budding entrepreneurs.

‘DeshayataJawayak’ is an ESG (environment, social and governance) initiative dedicated to enhancing the skills of local entrepreneurs in business development, covering various aspects in the current economic environment, and leveraging new technology.
