Out-of-the-box solutions the need of the hour – Prime Minister

Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena said today’s imperative need is for innovative, out-of-the-box solutions in engineering and technological sectors.

He was speaking as the chief guest at the opening of Techno 2023, Industrial and Technological Exhibition at BMICH on Friday October 20.

He said engineers and technocrats should not be confined to theories of their study syllabuses, but come up with creative solutions to the multitude of economic challenges faced by the country.

Minister of Technology Kanaka Herath was the guest of honour.

The IESL’s premier event, ‘Techno Sri Lanka’ displays the latest innovations, products, and talent from around the world to its audience. The exhibition concludes today.
