Batticaloa Pandiruppu Zone won the Eastern Samaposha Provincial School Games held at the Leelaratne Stadium in Kantale.
The event is part of the Samaposha ‘Dinana Daruwo’ programme that gives priority to showcase children’s educational and sports talents for the future.
Meets were also held covering the North Central, North Western, Eastern and Southern provinces.
More than 70 events were held during these Games where over 1800 school and more than 18,500 athletes participated.
