The stage is set for a badminton extravaganza as the prestigious Northern Province All Ceylon Open Badminton Championship in to take place at Killinochchi from October 31 to November 5.
Organized by the Northern Province Badminton Association, affiliated with Sri Lanka Badminton, the tournament is classified as a level one national ranking event.
An official said applications are currently open and will close on October 25, offering badminton enthusiasts a unique opportunity to shine in the national spotlight. The championship features a range of categories, ensuring a diverse and competitive playing field. These include the Junior category, encompassing under 11, 13, 15, 17, and 19 years boys and girls singles and doubles events.
The Senior category is equally comprehensive, featuring men’s and women’s singles and doubles, and categories for players over 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65 and over 70. The Open category is set to have men’s and women’s singles, doubles, and mixed doubles matches.
