The Air Force Eagles’ golf links and courses are set to host the eagerly anticipated second edition of the Eagles’ Monsoon Cup Golf Tournament 2023 that is destined to become a yearly golfing highlight on the calendar.
The tournament is scheduled to unfold its charms on October 28 and 29 against the stunning backdrop of China Bay, in close proximity to the bustling harbor city of Trincomalee.
According to an official the event has been meticulously organized to bridge the gap in golfing events during the monsoon season to rejuvenate the sport of golf, which had faced a downturn in recent years due to the pandemic and various national challenges.
Since opening the doors for registrations, the tournament has already garnered over 60 enthusiastic golfers from every corner of the country according to the organizers.
Intriguingly, alongside the coveted Eagles’ Monsoon Cup, golfers will also vie for the prestigious Eagles’ Monsoon Defence Challenge Trophy, which is bestowed upon the most exceptional serving player from the Tri Forces.
The climax of the tournament will be marked by the much-anticipated awards ceremony on the final day.
A spokesman said registrations are still open and the tournament is well on its way to establishing itself as a key event on the golfing calendar.
