The Goethe-Institut Sri Lanka together with the Environmentalist Foundation of India is organizing a beach-clean up at Wellawatta Beach today.
The clean-up is part of this year’s Science Film Festival activity program.
The Science Film Festival is an annual celebration of science communication. The festival is organized by the Goethe-Institut and makes science accessible to a broad audience and demonstrates that science can be fun! In cooperation with local partners, it promotes science literacy and facilitates awareness of contemporary scientific, technological and environmental issues through international films and accompanying educational activities.
In 2023, the Science Film Festival is the official supporting partner of the United Nations Decade on Ecosystem Restoration. The theme is a rallying call for the protection and revival of ecosystems all around the world.
