“Seethawaka Odyssey” back on track

The much sought after “Seethawaka Odyssey” tourist train from Colombo Fort to the Avissawella tourist zone, commenced operations again from yesterday, October 28.

The train which commenced operations recently on every Saturday and Sunday was temporary halted due to the adverse weather contestation. “However, we started operations again from yesterday said Western Province Tourism Board (WPTB), said Chairman Sugath Hewapathirana.

WPTB and the Sri Lanka Railway Department initially operated this service only on Sunday but due to the demand decided to operate it on Saturdays as well.
