The Ceylon Institute of Builders (CIOB), the premier professional body of building and construction professionals in Sri Lanka launched Construction Expo 2024 which will be held at the BMICH from March 15-17.
The press conference in this regard was held at the Galadari Hotel recently where the main sponsors of Construction Expo 2024 were also introduced.
President, Ceylon Institute of Builders (CIOB), Dr. Rohan Karunaratne said: ‘‘Conduction Expo-2024 will be the hub for the major players locally and internationally. It will provide common platform for all industries that like with the construction and will give participants a change showcase their products and services which cover all spheres related to the industry.
“It will be the meeting point for the domestic and international products and technology suppliers to explore the potential in the construction industry Sri Lanka. The Sri Lanka construction industry has revealed a sound growth and represents more than 7% of the national growth of the Sri Lanka economy.”
‘‘The availability of materials and the rapid advancement of the science and technology have reinforced the speedy constructions in the country.
As numerous leading consultants and constructors of our country are able to complete with foreign firms the opportunities have arisen to go beyond for the construction industry expertise in both consultancy and construction,” he said: CIOB was set up in 1961.
