The third edition of the Sri Lanka Automobile Sports (SLAS) will be conducted at the Katukurunda Airstrip on December 3 and all 10 racing clubs have consented to participate according to the organizers who are hoping for top class competition.

The Katukurunda Speed is confined only to 17 car events which will be contested by all leading drivers in all classes from mini up to SLGT 3500 cc Class. This meet will also be the first event to be worked off for the 2023.

As in the past Nippon paints have come forward as the main sponsor along with SLT partnering them.

According to the organizers, all leading drivers were faced with many hardships due to Covid-19 and other financial difficulties to prepare their vehicles into running condition.

But with normalcy returning most of the drivers have been able to get their much needed parts and are expected to make their way to the Katukurunda Speed.

Leading drivers in all these classes representing their clubs are expected to compete on this day and SLAS has requested all drivers to forward their entries on or before November 17 through registered Clubs.
