The North Central Province Annual Entrepreneurs Award Ceremony and Colours Night organised by the North Central Chamber of Commerce for the 19th consecutive year, was held at the Mango Mango Banquet Hall, Anuradhapura under the patronage of State Minister of Finance Shehan Semasinghe recently.

State Minister Semasinghe said that at this difficult juncture with a critical economic situation prevailing in the country, the North Central Chamber of Commerce has been fulfilling a commendable task by encouraging the entrepreneurs’ community to reach their targets overcoming numerous challenges.
He said this would be the most critical attempt of the government to save the country from the state of bankruptcy with financial assistance mainly from the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank. The State Minister appealed to the entrepreneurs’ community to respond to the Government’s taxation policies positively for the sake of the survival of the country.Director General of the North Central Chamber of Commerce, P.B. * L.G. Thilak Samansiri of L.G. Farm (Pvt) Company.
* Janaka Udayakantha – Janaka Engineering Industries.
* D.P.J.S. Dissanayaka – P.H. Green House Products.
Six medium scale entrepreneurs and seven small scale entrepreneurs were awarded silver and bronze awards.
