The Government has taken measures to set up a Social Intelligence Unit to ensure the protection and social security of the young generation through the creativity of the students and this would facilitate the students to rid themselves of the drug menace, said State Minister of Defence Premitha Bandara Tennakoon.

The State Minister was speaking as the chief guest at the passing out parade of the NCC Hermann Loos and De Soysa Platoon Championship 2023 at the NCC Training Centre, Rantambe on Thursday, November 2.

He said efforts are also being made to popularise and promote the activities of talented children and National Cadet Corps (NCC) Cadets through modern technical methods.
