Ananda College and Visakha Vidyalaya emerged champions in the boys and girls categories respectively, in the under-10 Green Ball contest at the All-Island Inter-School Cool Tennis Play Day held at the SLTA courts at Sir Marcus Fernando Mawatha recently.
The tournament sponsored by Yeti/SLTA was conducted in three age group categories, namely under-7 Red Ball, under-8 Orange Ball and under-10 Green Ball.
In the Green Ball event for girls, Visakha Vidyalaya emerged winners with Musaeus College Gold team finishing in second place.
With Ananda College winning the Green Ball event for boys, S. Thomas’ College finished in second place.
Visakha Vidyalaya also won the Orange Ball category with Kalutara Balika Vidyalaya finishing in second place.
The Orange Ball contest for boys was also won by Ananda College with Richmond College Galle taking second place.
In the Red Ball event for girls Ave Maria Convent, Negombo triumphed while Musaeus College finished second.
The boys’ event was won by Richmond College Galle while Ananda College finished in second place.
