Trophy-winning Champion rugby coach Sanath Martis will be the new coach of CH and FC for the upcoming inter-club rugby season that starts in December.
Martis was earlier the coach of Havelocks and he attained high end success this year when he coached St. Peter’s College to win both the inter-school League and Knock-out championships.
Former Wesley College player Avantha Lee is the new captain of CH and FC who will play their home matches at the Race Course ground in Colombo.
Martis was replaced by Saliya Kumara at Havelocks who will be captained by Amjir Fajudeen.
Former Havelocks player Soyuru Anthony will captain CR and FC coached by the illustrious Dushanth Lewke.
Kandy SC will continue with coach Fazil Marija with Lavanga Perera as captain.
Army SC, Air Force SC, Police SC and Navy SC will be coached by Shamly Nawaz, Asela Deshapriya, Nilfer Ibrahim and Nihal (Viper) Gunaratne respectively.
The captains will be Ashan Bandara (Army), Parakrama Ratnayake (Air Force), Mohan Wimalaratne (Police) and Thilina Weerasinghe (Navy).
