The Colombo Stock Brokers Association (CSBA) unanimously appointed Gihan R. Cooray as its president at the Annual General Meeting held recently, succeeding Jaliya Wijeratne, who completed his tenure.
A seasoned professional in the capital markets for over two decades, Cooray currently serves as the CEO of NDB Securities (Pvt) Limited. With over 12 years in the senior management, Cooray played a vital role in placing the company on the growth trajectory that it is currently on and is a key member of the NDB Capital Group’s Leadership team.
Cooray holds a Master’s in Business Administration in Finance from the Cardiff Metropolitan University (UK) and has also completed the Executive Leadership program conducted by the Harvard Business School (USA). Cooray brings a blend of practical and theoretical expertise to his new role as the president of the CSBA.
