Cornered Sri Lanka cricket team head selector Pramdya Wickremasinghe side-stepped the media and asked for two days to reply their questions when he arrived with the team ousted from a place in the semi finals of the World Cup now taking place in India.
“Give me two days and I will get back to you and you can also come to conclusions on what is happening”, he told reporters on Friday.
Wickremasinghe has been around for nearly three years and teams that he selected had a failure rate that out weighed their success rate in all three formats of Test, ODI and T20.
The impression that he gave reporters put him on par with politicians who don’t resign over failures but pass the buck and side step the problem.
