Batting first Bangladesh scored 306 for 8 in 50 overs as Towhid Hridoy top scored with 74 runs inclusive of two sixes and five boundaries.
Sean Abbott and Adam Zampa captured two wickets each.
Australia replied with 307 for just two wickets as Marsh and Smith put on an unbeaten partnership of 175 runs for the third wicket. Marsh scored 177 with nine sixes and 17 boundaries having faced 132 deliveries.
