SLCB holds MICE training program in Nuwara Eliya

The Sri Lanka Convention Bureau (SLCB) organised its fifth MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions and Events) training program for regional hoteliers at the Araliya Green Hills in Nuwara Eliya recently. It was supported by the Nuwara Eliya Hoteliers Association (NEHA). Key figures of the hospitality industry were present.

The training highlighted the resilience and ingenuity of Nuwara Eliya’s business event industry, focusing on attracting international buyers and contributing to forex inflow into the country. Manager, Research, Development and Training at SLCB, Kumudu Hennedige spoke on the theme “How to promote the region for Business Events and Incentive Travel.” A panel discussion took place featuring industry leaders President, Nuwara Eliya Hoteliers Association, Shaam Weerasooriya, General Manager, Grand Hotel, Suresh Abbas, General Manager of Araliya Red, Rohan Withanagamage and Mrs. Hennedige. It was moderated by Ziyan Ameen.
