Chief Incumbent of Sri Shailabimbaramaya, Sri Sambodharamaya Sri Kheththaramaya in Beruwala and Sri Pagnnanandaramaya in Dharga Town, Palitharamaya in Dematagoda, Ven. Malewana Sobitha Thera has passed away.
He was the director of the Malewana Rasayanagaraya and Sri Gnaneswara Indigenous Medical Institute in Kurunduwatte, Beruwala.
He has produced a number of indigenous medical practitioners including Ven. Malewana Sri Gnanissara Thera.
Ven Sobitha Thera maintained very close relations with the other communities and earned the respect of the people of all communities.
The remains lie at Sri Shailabimbaramaya in Kuruduwatte, Beruwala and the cremation will take place at the Beruwala beach grounds on November 22 at 2.30 p.m.
