Entries have been called for the 71st Badminton National Championships scheduled to be held from December 4-10.
The week long Championship is to be held at the badminton headquarters and MBA courts. The winners according to the organisers will receive medals and cash prizes to the value of two million rupees.
Players who face any technical difficulties in submitting the online entries due to the requirement of an SLB registration number should contact Himasha Chaturya on 0740121846, Sri Lanka Badminton said in a statement.
Players with difficulties in entry submission other than online issues have been requested to contact Akila Hettiarachchi on 0771851839.
Entries close on Friday, November 24, at 11.59 pm.
The main draw and seeding will be determined based on Sri Lanka Badminton ranking as of Tuesday, November 28, 2023. The draw will take place at 11:00 am on Wednesday, November 29, at No 2, Cambridge Terrace Colombo 07.
The Championships will feature a wide range of events from Under 11 to 19 in the junior category and Over 30 to Over 70 in the senior category.
The Open events category comprising men’s and women’s Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles will take centre stage.
