The inaugural Jaffna MICE Expo 2023 organised by the Sri Lanka Convention Bureau (SLCB) will be held from November 30 to December 3 in Jaffna.
The event will showcase the Northern Province as a promising destination for meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE) while also providing MICE agents and media personnel from South India an opportunity to explore its potential.
Over 170 potential MICE buyers from India applied for the hosted buyer program and 40 buyers and five media personnel have been evaluated and enlisted to participate in industry forums, networking sessions and familiarisation tours organised by SLCB.
The Chairman SLCB, Thisum Jayasuriya said, “The Sri Lanka Convention Bureau takes pride in showcasing the Northern Province as a promising destination for meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE).”
The Jaffna MICE Expo will provide an opportunity for local service providers such as event organisers, travel agents, hotels, venue partners to engage with foreign buyers and provide the assurance needed to strengthen their confidence in hosting international events in Sri Lanka.
