People’s Bank sponsored the Sithuvili Siththam 2023 competition, an all-island competition featuring art, posters, and cartoons organised by the Child Protection Bureau in commemoration of World Children’s Day.
The inauguration event was held at Temple Trees, where the winners were awarded prizes and certificates. State Minister for the Women and Child Protection, Geetha Kumarasinghe, Sujeewa Rajapaksa, Chairman of People’s Bank, and Clive Fonseka, the CEO/GM were also present. Officials from the Women and Children Empowerment Ministry and the National Child Protection Bureau, along with enthusiastic school students, also joined in to commemorate World Children’s Day.
The art competition which was organised with the primary objective of fostering awareness about child safety, honing skills, and amplifying the voices of our young talents, saw a multitude of creations submitted across the schools and open categories.
