Union Assurance has continuously recognised the importance of sustainability and environmental responsibility with ‘Go Green’ initiatives.

To further enhance the Company’s dedication to green initiatives, Union Assurance has introduced the Policy Certificate along with the e-policy document with the aim of minimising the industry’s ecological footprint, promoting sustainable practises, and contributing to broader environmental conservation efforts.

The Policy Certificate contains a summary of benefits and key information regarding the Life Insurance Policy of the policyholder. With the Policy Certificate, policyholders will get access to customised e-Policy documents via multiple options. Policyholders can view or download the policy document by scanning the QR, through the SMS link sent to the registered mobile number, and via the Clicklife App, providing a user-friendly and mobile-optimised platform for easy document retrieval.

Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Union Assurance, Senath Jayatilake said, “At Union Assurance, we believe in innovation, progress, and upholding ESG values. This initiative is not just a step into the future but also a pledge to safeguard our environment, reduce waste, and serve our customers better. We are excited to continue our journey towards a more sustainable future, all while providing our customers with the outstanding service and peace of mind they deserve.”

Chief Technical Officer/Specified Officer of Union Assurance, Rumesh Modarage said, “Union Assurance increasingly considers environmental and social factors in our business decisions. By embracing these ‘Go Green’ initiatives, Union Assurance not only reduces its environmental impact but also aligns with the growing demand for socially responsible and sustainable business practises, which creates a benchmark in the industry.”

Union Assurance is a subsidiary of the John Keells Group, one of Sri Lanka’s largest listed conglomerates.
