History tells us about many great people. They have made a name for themselves in different fields of study. Marie Curie is one such person. She was born on November 7, 1867 in Warsaw, Vistula country. Marie Curie is known as an exceptional scientist and physicist. She discovered radium.
Marie Curie was also known as Madame Curie (A pioneer of Women in Science). She had a knowledge of Science, Physics and Chemistry. Marie was educated at the University in Paris. Her nationality was Polish. She won many notable awards.
Some of them were the Nobel prize for Physics (1903), Davy Medal (1904) and the Nobel Prize in Chemistry (1911).
She thus became the only woman to win two Nobel prizes as of 2009. Madam Marie Curie passed away on July 4, 1934.
