“Christmas Pachchadi”, a gala dinner with music for dancing, organised by the Colombo Chetty Association of Sri Lanka, will be held at the Ramada Hotel at Galle Face on December 22.
Participants will be entertained by “Black” – one of the best music bands in town.
Pachchadi is a spicy pickle made from the banana flower. The dish is characteristic of Sri Lanka’s small, but vibrant Colombo Chetty Community.
Colombo Chetty Association sources said, “After seven “Christmas Pachchadi” events in the past, we are making arrangements well in time for the eighth so that community members and their friends from home and overseas may make plans to be present.
