The Moto Surf Asia Continental Cup Championship was held in Colombo that marked a significant milestone as it coincided with the 10th anniversary of the Lanka Power Boat Association at the Beira Lake on November 17.
Top racers, including Marek Skamla, the fastest world champion of 2021 and Down Kim, the fastest world champion of 2022, competed in three categories, delivering thrilling races and adding prestige to the occasion according to the organisers.
Drawing participants from 10 countries, the championship introduced a new water sport experience to Sri Lanka, featuring the fastest Jetsurf motorized surfboards reaching speeds of up to 60 km/h.
The main sponsor was the adjoining Cinnamon Lakeside hotel in Colombo and the three-day event featured events for men and women.
