Indi Yapa Abeywardena took the runway by storm on Sunday 19th at the Cinnamon Grand Colombo unveiling the ‘Serenity by Indi’ Spring and Summer 2024 collection with all the flair of a fashion maestro.
From the calm vibes to the joyous inspirations drawn from her life’s tapestry – motherhood, cherished memories, empowering women, and even her fur babies – each piece radiated serenity and bliss. Indi outshone herself once more, turning the runway into a canvas of vibrant creativity.
‘Serenity by Indi’ reflects a state of calmness and tranquillity, translated into exquisite fabrics, fusion silhouettes, and hand-embellishments. The ‘Serenity by Indi’ collection was captivated with its harmonious blend of artistry and modern craftsmanship. ‘Serenity by Indi’ features exquisite fabrics, fusion silhouettes, intricate weaves, and hand-embellishments, culminating in a harmonious blend of artistry and modern craftsmanship.
The colour palette characterised by summerish and lively tones, introduces a hint of vintage and earthy hues for added charm. Indi’s ‘Serenity’ collection boasted a range of neutral, earthy, and serene colour palettes. From apricot summer coloured symphony with golden glimmers to ink blue and shades of lavender, and warmer beige enhanced with glistening golden surfaces and a touch of black.
The crafted pieces included sheath dresses, signature jackets, stylish sarees, asymmetric free-flowing skirts, A-line drapes, and more. The show also included a signature Indi bridal segment presented by Chirstell Luxury Wellness. Another segment was the Pure Gold by Tiesh segment featuring their latest jewellery collection paired together with a blend of styles.
The Indian International Show Director and Fashion Choreographer Sham Khan and backstage manager Masoom came to Sri Lanka to organise the show. Indian supermodel Archana Akil Kumar made an entrance as the showstopper for Indi’s finale.
