The annual church feast of St. Mary’s church, Mattakkuliya will be celebrated on December 10.
The theme of this year’s feast is “Let’s seek God through Mary”.
The recitation of the Rosary with the Litany of Our Lady will be held daily at 7 pm.
The Eucharistic celebration and the hoisting of the flagstaff took place at 4 pm on Thursday, November 30.
Vespers will be held on Saturday, December 9.
Rev. Fr. Alanka Oshitha Bandara (OMI) will officiate at the festive High Mass in English and Sinhala on Sunday, December 10 at 8 am.
The celebrations will culminate with the procession carrying the statue of our Lady at 4 pm on the same day and parade the environs of the church and return to St. Mary’s church where the faithful will receive the blessings.
