The Free Trade Zone Manufacturers’ Association (FTZMA) in partnership with the Board of Investment of Sri Lanka (BOI) presents ‘BOI-FTZMA Expo Mela 2023’, a multinational product fair that features export-oriented products, at affordable prices to local consumers.
The event will be held at the Park and Drive Premises, Canada Friendship Road, Katunayake (adjoining the GoodWood Plaza Airport Hotel) from December 7-17 from 10.00 am to 10.00 pm.
The proceeds of this event will be used to bring economic relief to middle and lower income communities ahead of the upcoming festive season.
World-class apparel, shoes, artificial flowers, processed food and drink, coconut, tea and rubber-based products, gloves, made by over 100 BOI companies in 12 Export Processing Zones will be on sale.
The Ministry of Investment Promotion, Ministry of Mass Media, Airport and Aviation Services and Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority have also partnered in organising the fair.
The Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation, Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation, Independent Television Network and Lake House are the media sponsors of the event. The Creative Congress is the creative partner of Expo Mela.
The event will also be a platform for local business which produce goods for the export market to showcase and sell their products while making business connections and partnerships with major players in the industry.
“At a time, when the country is reviving from economic instability, it is the aim of the Board of Investment and FTZMA to support the Government’s effort to bring normalcy to our economy by hosting events of this kind,” an official of the organising committee said.
