Hayleys post fourth win on the trot

Hayleys Group ‘B’ maintained their unbeaten record in group ‘A’ as they recorded four wins on the trot in the ongoing CBL Munchee Trophy – MCA ‘D’ division 40-over League Tournament 2024, continued during last week.

On Sunday, November 26, Hayleys ‘B’ beat People’s Leasing by six wickets and went on to beat Colombo Dockyard by nine wickets on Tuesday (28).

Earlier, they beat Power Hand Plantation by 18 runs on the DLS method and beat Melwire Rolling by seven wickets.

Weekend’s best batting performance came from Hayleys ‘B’ opening batsman Deemantha Kalugalage who scored a sparkling 87 runs off 63 balls, inclusive of eight sixes and three fours against People’s Leasing.

The best bowling display came from National Development Bank’s right arm off spinner, Sohan de Mel who finished with 5 for 27 in eight overs against Recovery Room.
