Golden Voice of Premasara Epasinghe in a book

‘Golden Voice of Cricket in Sri Lanka: Premasara Epasinghe’ the biography of veteran cricket commentator Premasara Epasinghe will be launched at Nalanda College’s Malalsekera Hall on Wednesday, December 6 at 3 pm.

The event is organized by the Past Cricket Association of Nalanda College together with the Nalanda Media Circle. Veteran cricket commentator and senior journalist Epasinghe is also a former Nalanda cricketer, past member of the College Staff Master in Charge of the Nalanda team and senior sports administrator who has done a tremendous service to promote cricket at school level to National level as well as International level.

His voice on radio behind the mike as the pioneer Sinhala commentator took cricket to more people and places in the country.

Epasinghe also worked as a columnist for the Daily News and Sunday Observer and was able to identify the potential in players. Senior Journalist Athula Ranjith Wedamisthrige compiled Epasinghe’s biography published by Susara Publications and the launch facilitated by Nalanda Cricket.

In addition a documentary film about Epasinghe directed by former Nalandian Journalist Ajith Galappaththi will also be shown at the book launch.

Education Minister Susil Premajayantha will be the chief Guest on the occasion that will also be graced by past and present cricketers of repute.
