The Commercial Bank of Ceylon celebrated “25 years of shared prosperity and achievement” with a group of long-serving employees at the 2023 edition of the Bank’s annual Seniority Awards at the Waters Edge, Battaramulla recently.
Seventy-one employees who had completed 25 years of service were felicitated with gifts and plaques of appreciation.
Commercial Bank Chairman Prof. Ananda Jayawardane was chief guest. Managing Director/CEO Sanath Manatunge, members of the board of directors, and representatives of the corporate and senior management were also prsent. Members of the families of felicitated staff were also invited to the celebrations that followed the ceremony.
Many of the recipients of seniority awards were school-leavers when they joined the Bank in 1998, and hold key positions in various departments and branches today, a Bank spokesman said.
