After a lapse of five years the Finance House Association (FHA) held its annual Sports Festival and LOLC with a rousing 275 points won the overall championship title at the Bloomfield cricket ground in Colombo.
Commercial Credit Company with 225 points secured the second position while Citizen Development Finance Company raked in 175 points to bag the third position.
According to the organisers, as many as 28 financial companies contested the event.
LB Finance clinched the men’s cricket title while Siyapatha Finance secured the women’s title.
Commercial Credit emerged victorious in volleyball while CDB triumphed in netball.
BH Dinesh of Commercial Credit Company was honoured as the FHA King while Sachini Gunasekara of HNB Finance PLC was crowned as the FHA Queen.
Ananda Seneviratne, Chairman of The Finance House Association of Sri Lanka, said: “We are thrilled to successfully organize the FHA Sports Festival after five years, fostering harmony and camaraderie among financial companies. This event provided an opportunity for members to showcase their sports skills and unwind from their busy work environment”.
The Chief Guests at the celebration were JPR Karunaratne, Assistant Governor of the Non-Banking Financial Companies Supervision Department of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka and RMCHK Jayasinghe, Director of the Non-Banking Financial Company Supervision.
