Nikith Perera

With the rot taking place at Sri Lanka Cricket, a budding player Nikith Perera has been fortunate to qualify to stand in line for selection to the New Zealand team hopefully in the future.

The 21-year old Nikith is a spin bowler and played for a New Zealand X1 in a warm-up match offered to the touring Bangladesh team this week taking a wicket in the 50-over match at Lincoln.

His father Nimalka opened the batting for St. Anthony’s College Katugastota and also turned out for CR and FC in rugby as a third row forward.
