The inaugural ‘double wicket’ tournament, organised by Lanka Heritage Cricket Club scheduled to be played this weekend (16 and 17) at the BOI ground at Katunayake was postponed due to inclement weather and new dates will be notified later.
The president of Lanka Heritage Cricket Club Jayantha Seneviratne said cricket legends such as Arjuna Ranatunga, Aravinda de Silva and Sanath Jayasuriya are among the players hoping to take part in the tournament.
“Hopefully we should be able to play the matches in January”, said Seneviratne. (DR)
