Sri Lanka’s badminton players returned with three gold and an equal number of silver and bronze medals won at the Senior Asian Badminton Championship held in Vietnam.
Chandrika de Silva won two gold medals in the women’s singles and mixed doubles competitions while also winning a bronze medal in women’s doubles competition.
De Silva is a former Sri Lankan national champion.
In addition, Vijaya Lakshmi Punchiheva bagged two bronze medals in the women’s doubles and the singles competition in the age category of 55-60 years.
