Remittances via MMBL Money Transfer to hit $250 m mark in 2023/24

During the financial year 2023/24, inward remittances through MMBL Money Transfer (Pvt) Ltd will be over US$250 million, accounting for approximately 4% of worker remittances into Sri Lanka.

Worker remittances remain a vital source of income and foreign-exchange generation in Sri Lanka. MMBL Money Transfer, as the largest retail inward remittance representative company in Sri Lanka (with the support of parent companies Aitken Spence and MMBL – Pathfinder Group) have focused on empowering migrant workers with easy access to their finances and through offering an extended network of service touch points.
