Open carom draws full house

Charith Madusanka from Delman Sports Club played some exceptional carom at the Slicing Champs 2023 Open tournament organized by the Junior Old Boys of Isipathana College and held at the Sri Lanka Carom Federation on December 23 that had a marked increase in the number of contestants.

Kaveen Nimneth Peiris from the Air force and Ishan Kannangara from the Army won the second and third places respectively.

According to the organizers, the tournament attracted more than 175 participants from all around the country with prize money on offer demonstrating the quality and successfulness of the event.

Kamala Wickramasinghe, one of the best female carom players and coach was the chief guest of the event while Oshara Panditharathane, the present principal of Isipathana along with the members from the school administrations and old boys union attended the prize giving ceremony.
