Lot Polish Airlines brings 282 tourists to Sri Lanka

Connecting Warsaw-Colombo, Lot Polish Airlines operated by 789 Dreamliner with 282 tourists arrived at the Bandaranaike International airport (BIA) at 12.30 p.m. on Friday.

This charter operation will continue till March 29, 2024 connecting every Friday and help increase the number of tourist arrivals from Europe.

The flight was welcomed by the celebratory water cannon salute upon arrival at the BIA, organised by Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) Limited (AASL) and the passengers were warmly welcomed by a traditional Kandyan dance performance organised by Jetwing Travels. Sri Lanka Tourism had organised gifts for each tourist who arrived in Sri Lanka.

Assistant Director, Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau, Masitha de Thabrew, Deputy General Manager, Jetwing Travels, Charith Nalaka, Assistant Manager, Hayleys Aviation and Projects (Pvt) Ltd. (The GSA for the airline in Sri Lanka) Sasidharan Kumarasamy, and Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications, AASL, Dr. Sumith de Silva were present.
